Hannah Mira is a clinical therapist specializing in mental health and substance use treatment through a trauma-informed lens. Her therapeutic approach integrates psychodynamic therapy, Internal Family Systems (IFS), and cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) to support clients in developing insight, resilience, and meaningful change. Hannah’s areas of specialty include childhood trauma, toxic family systems, personality disorders, religious trauma, and neurodivergence. She has been the therapist at Detox California at Cliffside Capistrano since its doors opened in May 2024.
Hannah earned her Master of Social Work degree from University of Massachusetts as a member of the Phi Alpha Honor Society, following completion of both undergraduate and graduate degrees at University of California, Irvine. Prior to becoming a therapist, she worked as a teacher within a juvenile correctional facility in Northern California and served as a Registered Emergency Medical Technician in Orange County. These experiences continue to shape her grounded, compassionate, and client-centered approach to therapy.
In addition to her clinical work, Hannah serves as a Committee Member with Reclamation Collective, an international nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting individuals impacted by religious trauma and spiritual abuse.
Outside of her professional life, Hannah enjoys volunteering as an adoption coordinator for a local dog rescue, hosting themed dinner parties, and traveling with her husband and son. Her love of travel has taken her to nineteen countries across four continents, experiences that continue to deepen her appreciation for culture, connection, and the many ways people make meaning of their lives.
